Take your stupid, loud ass, lif3stl3 commericals and shows and shove them up your ass.
Thanks.
That's the beauty of DVR.....just fast forward pass that chit (those lifestyle show commercials drive me up a wall too).
Anyway - great race in Malaysia today. The rain proved to be more than just the great equalizer among the drivers', but a true race neutralizer. Some of those shots of the rainfall really detailed just how hard it was coming down. Prior to that the hit & miss areas of rain on the track not only took everyones' original race strategy and chucked it out the window, we also saw a serious guessing game with some huge gambles being taken (i.e. Kimi getting full wets so prematurely or Heidfeld getting intermediates when full wets were the best bet).
I can understand and appreciate what uncle Bernie is trying to do with the timing of these events for his core European audience, but one can't help to think just how different the outcome of todays' race could've been had the race started just an hour earlier.

Did they say why Raikonnen retired? I don't remember them saying why they pulled the car into the garage.
No official word yet (I've been browsing a few F1 sites for post-race news).
What I have been able to learn is that Kubica's car experienced a pneumatic system failure (operates the valves) which resulted in an engine fire. He was having problems with this during his parade lap so his day was done before the race actually started.

^Like Smoo said, he wasn't in the points I don't think and was probably sick of being wet.
Crazy race though, glad to see Button get it done again. Although I wish the race hadn't been stopped, Vettel is a monster in the rain so I was hoping he could work his way back forward.

Oh I didn't mean they shouldn't have stopped it, just that I wish it hadnt been raining hard enough to need to stop it.
I did see that shot, my girlfriend said "that can't be good for the cars!"
I know, i still cant believe how much rain they get, and how quickly it comes and goes. My mom lived in Japan, Okinawa, as a child and said thats just how it is.

It's not so much the seasonal timing of the race, its just the actual timing of the race in the day. It starts at 5 in the afternoon, which in south east asia, is precisely when the rain begins.
I used to live in hong kong and it was exactly the same, same time every day during monsoon season, the rain would come. You could set your watch to it.
The FIA panders to the european audience by giving them a decent time to watch the race, and they only got to see half of it anyway.
The first two Sepangs were held in October and they were bone dry.
When it changed to March it added rain to most of the races up until they decided to mess around with the start time. Let's face it, the rain adds excitement, the start was simply too late.

I heard an interview with Scuderia Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicalli, he said that Kimi had ongoing problems with his KERS like he did in some practice sessions.
I reckon Kimi wanted a hot shower so pulled into the pits, warmed up, grabbed an ice cream and coke and went for a sit down. Quality...
