they are taking advantage of a rule that allows body work withing 150cm of the center line of the car. by using this rule the have effectivly increased the volume of thier difuser which creates a lower pressure and thus more downforce working on the rear wing.

brawn, toyota and williams have all done this.

but technically it legal right? so i dont see what the fuss is all about. i hate this... if my guys are better than yours and we can work around the set rules, then why not, isn't that competition???

It sounds like it's legal, but I believe they are appealing it? So the first round standing will be tentative until they rule if it's legal or not...

I am watching BBC1 recording and can't wait for the race!!!

              its legal.

what kills me is good ol' bitchboy Flavio saying that its illegal because they used the regs to create an advantage... by creating more downforce.

Seriously? isnt that what this sport is about?

Totally agree with you here. If they want them all to build identical cars and make it all about drivers, give them the same cars, if they want them to experiment and see how they all run against eachother, as the F1 always does then stretching the rules to gain an advantage is all good and is part of the fun and creativity. Kills me they aren't even arguing about the rule itself, but instead are arguing about the "spirit of the rule" as they were saying last night during the qualifying. The rule is the rule, its open to interpretation.

exactly. this is the kinda stuff that threatens to kill the competition in F1, and eventually will kill the entire sport out.

anywho, just finished watching P2 and Qualifying. unreal. I cant wait to download the race torrent.

Well.. I'm happy that Button got a win, although my 3 drivers I cheer for (Kubica,Heidfeld, and Vettle) didn't quite make it, especially with Kubica/Vettle taking each other out at the end... damnit!

One-Two for Brawn GP, though only due to Vettel and Kubica annihilating each other at the end while battling for second.

Anyone know what was up with Ferrari? Kimi pitted five times!

Fairy tale start for Brawn GP.

Bet Ferrari are looking enviously over the fence at their former driver and technical director.
