why do e30 exhausts suck?

I love my Scorpion...

I painted the body black though, and it looks and sounds very nice.

The sound is pretty stock-ish, but it is a bit deeper, and it screams at higher RPM.

Overall, it is a great cat-back for an E30.

Does anyone rock the Dinan catback? I know it's stupidly expensive but I'm really curious as to what it sounds like. And I think it'd be kinda cool to rock something that no one else does.

Oh and by the way, I just came across an exhaust called Jetex on youtube?? Never heard of it but damn it's the exact sound I'm looking for but looks like they only go up to '87. Beautiful sound though.

This is what I did- the price was right. I actually think it sounds really good, but it is pretty loud.

There's a lot of exhausts for e30s. And IMO most of them sound better than exhausts for other cars, aside from the obvious V8+ exhausts

it's a gutted OEM muffler with polished tips and a DINAN logo stamped on the end. bleh.. I hate DINAN crap.

yup just the muffler, everything else is stock

any sound clips? I'm peicing together a new exhaust and am considering a magnaflow. the tips on the 14815 are pretty nice looking too. ;)

ill try to get some sound clips, but i dont have any right now.
the tips DO go really well with the car.

Had an Eisenmann on my old 325i - great sounding exhaust. They are expensive though - am considering one for my 323i but would prefer a straight exit rather than the slanted exit.

Why do you say that? Best looking exhaust for an E30 that I've seen (14815 is too damn big), although the shitty clips I've heard didn't seem too impressive.
