        Good memories!

I bought mine in Virginia. The car used to be in Ft Lauderdale so I brought it back home.

I flew up from Orlando with the idea of driving home. Problem oil leak kept me from doing it. So I booked a ride home on auto-train. The train was empty so I had the 2 huge seats to myself. Went to the bar car and got some cognac. Had a great buzz going.

Ready for the "I don't believe part of the story cause it sounds like a Forum article" I still feel like I won the lottery.

This woman gets on in Va. Very attractive. She changes into her tight pajamas and settles in with her lap top. I look over and notice these great pics of nice automobiles. So I ask about them. She tells me her profession started off by being a car model. Now she has her own agency.

So cognac and talk and cars and bodda bing, I get lucky. Yes, life is good. I leave Florida with no e30 and come home with one and a huge smile, a car and no hangover!

So gentlemen, how far would I travel for the right BMW? To infinity and beyond!

found mine on the other side of the country and after extensive communication had it transported via flatbed, ferry, and train over 3,600kms

I wanted to drive it back and make a trip out of it but time constraints were an issue.

I have picked up cars in both provdense Rhode Island and in easton PA. I drove both back to birmingham. As for just long trips in a e30. i drove on to las vegas and back. well most of the way back.
