Are the two 13mm bolts for the knuckle? There's something I'm missing here. I will get photos ASAP. Hope this isn't too hard to do both at my house and at the yard.

This is on my "to do" list, but not for stripped splines. I'd like to know if anyone has replaced the steering U-joints or anything you've done to tighten up the steering.

Besides tightening the big nut on the airbag cars.

Any help? I wanted to remove the column and go to the yard and grab another one and swap it. Bentley show's nothing.

I got one nut and bolt out of the column (you can see it missing in pic 3)

The nut in pic 2 (next to the pedals) I couldn't take out. What way does it go?

                              1) loosen the silver/gold [Cadmium plated] bolt in this pic

                              2) Remove the bolt from the u joint, which you have done. Wedge a screw driver into the slot on the ujoint, then push the joint off the spline, which would make you push it to the front of the car. Large screwdriver/prybar works.

                              3) Should be a bolt under, or near the red circle. The green circle is where the column 'slips' into the chassis. PUSH THE SHAFT FORWARD [sound familiar????]

NOTE: The bolts that hold the column in may be infront of the green circles, towards the back of the car.

                              4)EAT MY ASS!
