About 14 years ago, I ordered aftermarket grills from a parts supplier because the price was right. When they arrived they were "different" from the old US grills. I didn't realize it at the time but they were copies of the now popular euro grills. I still rock those same grills on my E30 M3 today. They are exact in every way and even came with the proper gaskets. So don't be turned off by the reps, afterall they are just grills.

The replicas are fine... I have a set, and there is nothing wrong with them. They fit perfectly, and you'd be hard pressed to find any differences.

The OEM ones are better quality. They don't fade as fast and they're more sturdy. The aftermarket ones are more flimsy.Comment

If you look closely, you can definitely see imperfection in the replicas. I went through two sets via AMS and still had minor fitment issues. Hold out for a used set. My 2 cents.sigpic
