Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum and would just like to introduce myself. Name is Zach, but Paco works just fine. I live in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.
As of right now I do not own an e30 but would like to in the near future. So I'm here to be a sponge and soak up as much info about these cars as I can. I would like to know the little things about them that really separate the different years from one another. I have to be honest, the e30 that I would pick up would be for an engine swap project. It would house a LSX base engine. I know some diehards wont like that, but it's all good :)
Little bit about me. I'm a Manufacturing Engineer at Continental Powertrain division (formerly SiemensVDO Automotive). The plant I work at does mainly gasoline fuel injectors, but with another one of our plants being consolidated into us, we'll be working a lot with diesel in the coming months.
Currently I have a 2005 Pontiac GTO that is twin turbo'd. It puts out some good power, but it's a pig (race weight of ~4000lbs). Here's a quick pic of it:
Thanks for your time and I hope to learn a lot from the boards.
