I've been looking at both of those cars.
The red one is way too much IMO. 5.5k?

Where in the Bay Area are you from/

Yeah I agree the red one is overpriced, that explains why it's been for sale for so long. I'm located in Orinda in the East Bay.

I don't really think an e30 is a good car to pick up from a dealership, you'll pay WAY too much. That red car is pretty CLEAN, just pick up a clean 13 button obc, a new cig lighter and a new deck and that's a great car cosmetically. The white car looks clean too though, for sure...have you checked the classifieds here? Not only for a car but to see what they are going for private party versus the dealership...$5500 is pretty damn high for that car.

My first car was an e30 and I have really enjoyed it. It's a stick and a real blast to drive. I will agree that the red one (practically indentical to mine) is a bit overpriced. The white one seems like a great first car, it appears to be in good condition for a 200k+ vehicle.

Haha, nice to see he's getting the usual forum treatment.

I'm new to r3v but some of you may know me from BF.C. In any case this is my little brother looking for his first car. Unfortunately he's also caught the bimmer bug, and even more unfortunately he's latched onto the 1991 318is and only the 1991 318is.

I'm taking him back to look at the red car as well as the white car on saturday when I return to the bay, so maybe he'll come around.

I have a 1991 318is (first car) and its been awesome. I would highly recommend them, they're a lot of fun, and they get good gas mileage. Those two in the pics look really clean too, I'd go with the higher mile one 5500 is way too much, mine has 197k on it and it still runs like a champ
