M20's are OBD1, all E30's are.

Uh no they are not. There is no OBD1 system on e30's unless they have a 92+ motor in them, ie v8, m50/s50 etc.

I don't think it's available for even the obd1 guys w/ 24v motors.

I don't see why it wouldn't. M50 uses Motronic right?

Flatfoot shifting, launch control and being able to add a map sensor like the S300 would be awesome too.

It's supposed to be able to work with any engine, so you can tune your M20 with it now, then if you do an M50 swap, you can tune the M50 with it too.
