    Toyo tires

I've seen Toyo tires on quite a bit of track cars. At $100 a pop, they are by far the cheapest performance tire in the 215/35/18 size.

How are these things? I'd like to keep this somewhat cheap as I will go through tires every year. However, I don't want to drive on shit. I once bought hancooks and they were by far the worst tires I've ever had.

If Toyo is shit I'm going for Yoko Paradas.

I had these on my 16 inch wheels on the eta.
I'm no expert but I wasn't too happy with them. I if you have the money get yokes.
EDIT- they did last a long time.
    I wouldn't buy them again.

I know someone with Toyo Ts-1's on his GS400 and he seems to like them comming from yokes. Who knows.

I had them. They were okay, but I prefer the Bridgestones I have now. RE 750s. Good all around tire, and so far seem to have good wear.

FZ4's are the entry level Toyo tire, they are average.

T1-S is a great high performance street tire

The full R compound is the RA-1

had em, not the quietest, worked well very sticky, and good tread wear.

look around and compare prices/tread rating and your price range go for the best of all 3

been there, done that, never again!!

FZ-4's are hard, noisy, and squeel every time you turn the wheel (even below 5mph!!)

The last tires I had were T-1S's, nice tyres stuck well, side walls were a little soft, they wear badly if you don't rotate them.

I've also run Goodyear GS-D3's, I only had them for a short while before selling the wheels, I was very impressed with them, esp. in the wet!!

You should be able to fit some 225/40's, a much more respectable size!!!
(some 245/35's for the rear even!!!)

215/35's are for no go, bling bling, Civic's!!! IMO

Toyo T1S rules if you want bomb street tires. FZ4 are ok, but more touring oriented.

DO NOT BUY YOKO STREET TIRES THEY ARE UTTER DOG SHIT.

the FZ4 is a good all season tire, not something I'd take to the track though.. I doubt you ever have to worry about snow or ice where you live, so I'd look for something else. most of the people are using the T1-S, not the FZ4.

Can't agree with you on Yoko's I'm getting good wear out of them Grip well could be better but I don't have my suspension set up yet to the point where I'm totally happy.

Yea, but you just proved my point "good wear" and "grip well could be better."

Who cares about wear on a "performance" tire. 8)
