I sold the car to a collector in Atlanta that was part of the Barrett-Jackson family so to speak last July right after the article in Bimmer Magazine came out. He then took it to Scottsdale and sold it for $29k (31,900 with buyer's fee) to the present owner. They were asking $45k for it!!! It is truly one of the nicest e12s in the world.

So, are you for real? Did your dad really buy the car? Please PM me with details. I still have some parts for the car in my garage!

Here is my most recent project:

Typical... Ron, I will buy one of your cars one day...

That thing is gorgeous. The interior color is not my thing, but I agree with you Mariano, its perfectly period correct, and incredible looking because of that. Congrats to your dad for picking that up.

RP finished the Resto Started by Eric Quon....
Actually Eric was the one that originally found the car and had it published in Fred Larimer's book "BMW Buyers Guide". Jeff Fleisher was the owner that put the euro bumpers on the car, installed the Alpinas, and steering wheel. The car was kinda clean when I bought it as Jeff really took care of the car, but it was filthy in many different areas. For instance, I spent 11 hours just in the trunk alone cleaning up all the dirt-it was really a mess!!! The interior took quite a bit of work as well and I added the Scheel seats and had the leather matched at Jim's Upholstery. I also spent about 40 hours just on the undercarriage. The car also had 205s all the way around with 7" wheels in the front and 8" wheels in the rear, so I bought the correct sizes with all new tires.

Just for my own records, I would like to know how much the car was sold for. If you don't want it public, please PM me the details. I am sure I will see you soon, though.

Ron, if you need parts for ANYTHING, let me know, I can put you in contact with my old boss at my previous place of employment. It was a BMW/Merc/Volvo junkyard. Everything from E24's (with the rare occasion of an E12) up to current cars.

                    Ron,
                    you should offer resto services...
you definately have the "eye" for it...
                    seriously....
people do resto's and most look 80-90%,
                    but yours always look 100-150%...
your restos tend to "sparkle" at you,
others look good but look "flat" compared to yours....

                    Sorry, for the mis-information above...
