There are some sick looking 4-doors in this thread, however, they would all look 10x better as a coupe.

I hate coupes. I mean for a sunday driver it's alright, but they're still a huge pain in the ass. If I have to play hockey, or have more than 1 person in my car (I'm a social dude and I love going out and doing things with friends) then the coupe is really really annoying. I haven't dd'ed a coupe in a couple years and I hope I never do again. Even for a sunday driver I prefer 4 doors. That way you can have your cool car for fun driving, and still be able to hang out with friends, or bring something with you.
obviously I'm biased though. the wagon is my all-time preference. They are so fucking hot when dropped with some wheels. same with any 4 door though really. I just put my wheels on my 4 dr e36 yesterday (18x8.5 & 18x10 bbs rsII) and I'm loving lifeOriginally posted by bluntcan you get me a deal on cases of their (fiji) bottled water? i wash my 02 in that shit

I sometimes wish I had a 4-door. It's difficult to hang a suit in the back seat of a coupe, and my friends always whine non-stop if they have to sit in back. Plus, the fact that my front seats aren't in great mechanical condition doesn't help when people need to flip them forward to get in back.
I say get the 4-door and make it awesome.

I've been driving e30s since 1989, had all of them, 2 and 4 dr, bauer, verts, M3s etc.. every model is nice and can be made to look/perform excellent. It all depends on your preferences and demands. 4dr has more utility and is more user friendly in everyday life but 2 dr is more sporty and is better looking IMHO

I love my 4-door also, and fully intend to make it look as good as possible.
I'm not quite sure if I'd enjoy a coupe more though, I guess I'd have to try one out.
I think it's all opinion-based.

I just bought a one owner gletscherblau 1990 325i 4door with an automatic. I think the thousand dollars that I paid for it was a steal when all the maintenance that came with the car is considered. I wasn't crazy about the auto but the car if fairly clean and original. I have a swap kit in my garage if I decide to change it but I haven't disliked the auto as much as I thought I would. It is not as slow or gutless as I imagined an auto would be especially once it is moving. A 4.10 with a manual would be quick though. I also have a 1990 iS that is black on black.sigpic
