It's a straight pipe for now as regulations require the pipe to come off the back. I just picked up an exhaust and should hopefully install it this week.

From the m30 downpipes, it has a custom Y-Pipe merging into a single 2.5", which goes all the way to the back. I will be putting a Magnaflow 4" round muffler in line 2.5" in & out. Hopefully it brings the sound level to something reasonable.

either way thats an awesome car. glad to see one of you drifters keeping a BMW powerplant under there.

youll boost it one of these days.... good&tight on here has a turbo e30m30 thats making some insane power.

boo first vid keeps dying mid way through.

You seem to be a big fan of the E-brake. Do you not like clutch kicking much? I feel like you are barely gaining enough speed for the corner and then you scrub it off with an E-brake. Why not try a feint and lift on/off on corner entry. I think you can carry much more speed. altho I'm taking a stab at it since I've never been on that track.

I love it! Keep it up!

Otis is literally 15 miles away. He's right next to my old job @ Honda. I highly doubt I'll boost it though. In Europe all the big time BMW drifters are running all motor.

I love boost. Spent 4 years building/changing my turbo setup to something I loved on my M20. But to make it reliable and effective for drifting took me 4 years and a lot of cash. I wouldn't mind boosting it, but it won't be off my own wallet.

After this weekend, I know this car does not need a whole lot of power. A chip + cam regrind + E34 M5 flywheel/clutch (for faster revs) will suffice. I will have the nitrous wet kit hooked up for the higher HP cars, but if it's really necessary, I'll also up the diff to a 3.73.

I need to fine tune this car, but once it's done, it'll wreak havoc. The videos posted here are really the first time ever I broke traction, without anything to expect. I gotta say I'm pretty happy with what I built using the experiences from my last car. Now just a little tweaking and I'll really have it kicking some serious ass.

Otis may throw in a few fur coats if you buy from him, but thats about it for perks from that fucker.

If it's for entries you're talking about then yes, I ebrake more than clutch kick.

It's the course layout along with my car that requires the use of the ebrake. Notice that on the uphill runs, I am bouncing off the redline before I enter. I'm going to clutch kick what, 200rpms? That's like a turbo providing the same amount of boost as a person blowing through a straw. I can't go to 3rd, because there really would be no power there, and no space to build speed in 3rd to later downshift to 2nd.

The downhill runs aren't much different. Almost required to run the ebrake. Even if you clutch kick, you need to ebrake right after (unless you're doing 20mph). It's a completely blind corner and excess speed will throw you off the track. It's a very tricky corner to enter in.

Sounds like you either need more power or a lower gear ratio. I'm still sure you could manage a shift up clutch kick from second into third. It wouldn't be easy but possible. I'm not a fan of the E-brake so I'm biased. I will do anything to avoid using it.

Edit: at the 4 minute mark. See how the miata gets away from you towards the second turn? I think he's carrying more speed. Third gear SEEMS possible but you might not have the power for it. *Shrugs* just my stab at it.

Edit edit: and the 4:40 one. looks like you are mad hugging the inside and making the jump from the first turn to the second turn took a lot of finangling. How did it go if/when you tried 3rd gear?
