While the subject is this bumper, I have a question. I have one and wanted to know what the little bulb(I think) that's in the small hole on the upper driverside(right part on the pic)

That is always what I thought, that the "iS" is one year (which is what that one is) while the "eS" is 86 and 87.

Excuse me bosses...it's a year thing. The original air dam on the 86 eS didn't have the two center slots because there was no need for it, then in 87 came the 325iS w/oil cooler and they revised the spoiler with center slots and used them on both eS and iS. There weren't as many eS sold in 87 as you might imagine but I had an original 87 eS back in the day so I can confirm this. Most spoilers you'll find have 4 slots to cover both eS/iS models but that 86 eS spoiler should only be used on an ETA car w/o oil cooler.

That spoiler brings back a lot of memories for me. I wanted one so bad for my 85 325e in high school. They were pretty pricey new but completely transform the look of the car. Way more aggressive/sporty.

I have one of these sitting in my garage, but it's pretty cut up for an intercooler.

Name your price, but you gotta come pick it up.

These also make great snow plows.

Was it original? It was probably replaced at some point.

Actually it does. He's correct. My '86 ES came with four slots, not two. That type of front valance was only produced during '86 and '87.
