I´m new at your forum,so i like to introduce me and my ride.
i have had about 10 e30`s before,and i have been seriously been viewing your forum.
and now i thought that i´m gonna introduce my car here.
this time i have my project car e30 M20b20 with turbo.
here is some details on my car:
- year model 10/1987 (first facelift)
- M20b20 engine
- Diamond schwartz
- 2-door
- sun roof
- ///M-3 fiberglass front bumper
- ///M-3 original plastic rear spoiler
- ///M-3 side mirrors
Engine:
-block has new bearings everywhere
-pistons is turn in a lathe at top 1.3mm off
-Head-gasget is a 2mm Mass gasget
-Compression ratio 8.5:1
-Megasquirt is for gasoline injection for now,but someday it´s gonna drive ignition also.
-HKS 46mm wastegate
-KKK k24 turbo (way too small)
-311cc injectors (way too small too)
-3" downpipe and hole exhaust pipe
-Copper clutch
-"Chinese" intercooler (60cmx30cmx7.5cm)
-Innovate wide-band lambda
-Walbro´s second biggest fuel pump
-adjustable fuel pressure regulator
-Getrag 260 with E36 ///M-3 shift axles (really short) :)
Interior:
-Cosworth sierra front seats
-Momo steering wheel
-Boost,oil pressure,water temperature,air/fuel ratio gauges. first 3 gauges are Hartge´s original stand in front of ashtray. air/fuel gauge i´m gonna put in center consol where is original clock (right side of stereo)
-5" rpm gauge
Chassis:
-Koni´s shocks and H&R (?) springs
60/40mm (?)
-whole 325i chassis (51mm front shocks and disc brake rear axel)
-Borbet T 8x17"
- 3.45:1 LSD
Coming:
-bigger turbo
-bigger injectors
-fiberglass ///M-3 new front bumber and rear bumper
-power
etc...
First Dyno run give 0.5bar (i think 7.25psi?) 219.7 bhp and 293nm torque
car has been driven 1.2bar boost (i think 17.40psi?) now about 7 months,and have no problems.
i bought this car month and half ago and now i have allready been used to this power.
so i have now bought new 442cc injectors (should work just fine somewhere round 450 bhp)
i have been watching new turbo since i bought this car,but still havent found the right one.
i have been thinking a lot of a new turbo and my conclusion is Holset HX35 with 54mm compressor wheel and 60mm exhaust turbine.
with this turbo and these injectors and adjustable engine management i hope i get round 380 bhp.
turbo should do litlle bit over 400bhp with 14# outlet exhaust turbine.
and these injectors should do 450bhp.
so will see how much i can get out allmost stock m20b20 with this turbo and injectors.
i have one guy 300miles away who could have just like this turbo. so next week i must give him a callanyhow and i have to ask at same time does he got it still. if do,in few weeks we could have next dyno run.:) will see about it.
meanwhile i´m gonna paint it. let the color be a secret for now.:p

engine bay is still bit of messy,but i have "cleaned" it very much. i take new pictures when i just remember.:D
tomorrow i´m gonna water-sandpaper it and paint it,so it´s gonna be at least in one color.:D
