Road Trip: Oklahoma to Portland

it took my friend and i 33.5 hours to get from norman to portland, only stopping for food and gas. we went to mcdonalds 5 times i think. it was a pretty awesome trip.

all of these photos were taken by me shooting out the passenger window when i wasn't driving, except for the photos of my car, obviously. and by the way, the 18-250 lens i used for these shots is for sale, so if you like what you see, buy it from me!

I've always wanted to go on a road trip like that. It was supposed to happen this year, but things got into the way.

California up to the PNW, over to Montana, down to Colorado and Utah, into Arizona, then up through Socal.

i love the sport seats! they aren't the most comfortable things in the world, but they aren't too bad, either.

I spy some Idaho in there.

I-84 baby. i was going to hit you up, but iirc you are in or around rexburg, which isn't exactly on the way. too bad.

by the way, this is my 6th time now driving an E30 between oklahoma and oregon. 4 times with my 325e, twice with my current car. the M20B27 is awesome for road trips, because you can easily get over 30MPG. on this trip we mustered only about 24MPG, and we drove very near to the speed limit the whole time. a different differential would probably help out with that.

for all of you who haven't done a road trip in your e30, make sure it is running well, find a friend (preferably one who can drive stick), choose a place, and go! they are a blast.
