E-mail Steve@blunttech.com for deals on replacement parts, he's a grumpy old guy on here with more cokc jokes than you can imagine. Fet Lemforder control arms and tie rods, I had a set of e-bay specials, and the boots tore out within weeks, letting the greased balljoint get contaminated. Blunt's a good guy, and he ships everything promptly. Get a list and get some prices from him. Blunt

realoem.com is the place to go to find part numbers, FYI.

Just get OEM one, E30 M3 arms are aluminum, but they are around $300 each side. Lemforder is the preferred brand. ask someone parting out their car if they will sell you the handle. You should be able to get it open with a pair of pliers and a strong pull on the cable.

I am absolutely dumbfounded at how you have not been flammed to death for some of the questions asked in this thread. I have seen noobs run off just for saying hi......it must be either the holiday season or you have the Kavorka.

Surely its not a lighter more gentle r3v is it..... I know what will put an end to this... Fuck you try searching some stuff...... but I kid I kid.

Good luck with your new ride.

i think you are the first one, it is okay though being noob and getting trash all the times scene I have experienced before.
You know what searching is good but not all the times help out.....I am pretty sure you can't always learn a new thing by searching without out asking.

good places to buy BMW parts:

                  www.pelicanparts.com

We specialize in import auto parts

                  www.turnermotorsport.com

I'm pretty sure i missed a bumch of places, but the one place with the most parts in my experience is Pelican Parts.

as for the lower control arms:

                  here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/...,%20Each%20%20
                  and here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/...0Each%20%20%20

Pelican does a great job,,, I have also found that my dealer is cheaper than the local auto stores for most fluids..... escp when you get the bmwcca discount.. who would have thought.

Make sure you stay with oem parts as some cheaper alternatives are not worth it.

Don't listen to any of these guys telling you to buy anything, just get a clamp and use that on whats left of the lever, job done.

have fun. Buy an 84 318i and swap an m20 in it. That should be plenty of fun.
but I dont think we need him to take it that far. He just needs to get over his fast and the furious dreams and just get in a really car.

You could also just stick a flathead screwdriver through the front grill and twist to get the hood open, but I believe you have to remove your driver's high beam to get access to it... don't remember.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

Cut a huge hole in the hood. fix what needs fixing, put a really cool fake carbon fiber scoop over the hole, then put some e46 m3 vents in the fenders and call it a day.
