the last iteration was truly bad ass. I will admit I didn't like some of the middle concepts, but its your car and I can appreciate your attachment to the machine.

Sorry its come to an end, I'm sure you will find another canvas for your thoughts.

My condolences. I couldn't have thought of any better way for a totaled car to live the rest of its life...

I have said it before, and ill say it again.
While I didn't care much for that car, the fact that the e28 got brought up while at a track day in Atlanta is impressive. You have legions of "nut sack hangers" now.

sorry to hear about the car mike :( While the rust rat rod style is not mine, i always respected you for going your own route. I loved to see each new iteration and drool over each new set of wheels.

your e24 was a sick uncompromising ride as well. You got allot of comments at V@V last year.

good luck on the next project!

Sorry for your loss man. I've been through it a few times in a few different ways. It may sound stupid, but when I saw pictures of the Spyder, smashed in an impound, I felt sick to my stomach. And watching the M5 drive off on a trailer didn't feel much better. The good news is there will be several more cars and while it's fun to treat them like they are something more, they are only cars. I can't wait to see more of your projects in the future and am bummed I didn't get a chance to see Rusty in person.

                    Cheers,

                    Brian

To say that this video struck a chord with me would be the understatement of the year. I bought my first car, a 1985 535i for $800. That was the first car I rebuilt myself, the first car I turbo'd, the first car I got laid in, the first and only car that got me to high school, the car that got me to my first real job, and the first car I whooped some domestic ass in. I personally rebuilt the motor 3 times. When it finally got a rod knock, it was too far gone to salvage. I can distinctly remember dismantling it in the pouring rain under a tarp and choking back tears. I can't ever remember being so sad. When I saw this video, it brought me right back to that day. I can only imagine what you are feeling after going through so much with this car. Regardless if you loved or hated this car, try to appreciate the amount of love that went into it, many of you have poured love (and cash) into your E30s. The passing of a friend indeed.

                          sorry to see it go.

i just admire the fact that, instead of writing it off as totalled, you turned it into an art project and had fun with it. I really enjoyed your photography and will miss seeing new pictures of it.

also, what song is that in the video?
