damn smashed, I take it the pole won. Good to hear you are alright.

Question do tucked bumpers reduce ability of car to absorb such impacts? I say YES>

That sucks :( Good thing your alive tho. My sister feel asleep at the wheel and got i a pretty bad wreck. So if your ever feeling sleepy just pull over on the side of the road and call someone or take a nap its alot better then falling asleep at the wheel :(

In your case I believe yes you still would have broken both your ankles at MINIMUM, but in some cases I wonder if it is a factor.

The aluminum bumpers are designed to minimize impact at speeds of 5mph and lower.... I'd reckon he was going a bit faster.

Jesus, that is a bad wreck. I am glad you are relatively ok, you got lucky. The car should be easy to replace, didn't look like it was in that great shape.

Let's drive fast and have fun.

Shi'ite. All a tucked bumper would have done is maybe resulted in 2" less of penetration.

Damn man, that is a BIG wreck.
                  Im now E30less.

Was it the front wheel that cause the injury to your feet?

Hah, was the temp knob already broken off? For an area that didn't seem to flex, the impact must have been HARD.
