I dunno about 195/40... a bit of mild stretchage always looks good imho, but will 195s even stretch enough to get on a 9" wide rim? And then they will be waaaaay undersized. It might look ok if it's slammed, but there will still be too much gap to the guards either side of the wheel.

fwiw, I'd like to some 225/45s on there... Fat rubber with a bit of stretch + dish = hot

as soon as i finish my station wagon and sell the audi i will be doing a complete respray on the car... same color, but i will go over the entire car with a fine toothed comb trying to find all the dents/ding/blemishes and get rid of them all.....

and to be honest... my car is not a race car and does not pretend to be.... 195's will provide more than sufficent traction for my rageing 147 horsepower.... and it will allow me to go lower!!!!

and yes 195's fit on 9" wheels i have mounted them on type a's before on Rene's a3 jetta

i will be getting side skirts some day.... mainly to cover up all the damage to the pinch rail.... whoever jacked this car up seemed to have choosen a different spot on the pinch rail every time.....
