I really really love the LTWs. Particularly when then were on my vert. However this car will probably look more OEM++ when done. Chances of me keeping this car are small. It will probably be cleaned up very thoroughly, modified slightly and tastefully, and then sold. . .

        But maybe not :D

Thats a bummer about your silver one, it looked good. But it sounds like you got this one covered as well.

edit: post number 666, matches your thread title haha.

I thought I was going to be able to hold off on the transplanting till after I got back from Colorado on the 27nth but as I sat doing accounting homework at 8am yesterday morning I got a severe itch and went out to work on the car.

Over 11 hours later. I had an update.

Got balls deep before I remembered to snap pics. Then couldnt find my goddamn camera. But here are some cell shots.

The interior was the worst part of the car, while well taken care of seemingly, the PO was most obviously not real worried about the condition of her interior.

The two front seats were a cloth sport, and a sport houndstooth both in bad shape and the rear was a reupholster job in non-OEM cloth. So they had to go.

The carpet was nightmarish and I spent over 5 hours and two bottles of cleaner on just it today.

replaced the rear speaker tray, tore out the nasty sound deadening cloth under the rear seats, cleaned vigorously, body is PERFECT under the carpet. Replaced rear seats after carpet cleaning, rebuilt the sliding bracket on my drivers leather sport and installed both of them. Replaced the rear seatbelt mounting little triangle on the rear parcel shelf and rebuilt a rear seatbelt. replaced, front and rear ashtray, interior bulbs, ebrake boot and handle, rear center console, and a window switch. Then lastly the atrocious Sarah Palin sticker on the rear glass, still debating on removing the tint or not.

                  Then. . .

                  I cleaned some more.

                  Enough talk. mo' pics.

                  Didnt snap them until late.

Carpet came out pretty decent... was fuckin grody as shit.

Good condition roof liner. . . missing something there. oh wait, no sunroof.

Can see some discoloration in the carpet here. Regret not snapping "before pics"

                  Ski pass lol

This is where I realized I was tired as fuck... when I took the passenger side door gasket off my sedan and tried to put it on my coupe.

Doh! thats right, different sized doors lol XD

Thats all the pics from the 318iS last night

Here is how the Sterling is sitting currently.

She's been a great donor so far.

Tomorrow I hope to take her coilovers and complete braking setup, hunt down some coupe door gasket. Mount the momo hub and wheel, and reinstall an OEM radio into the Coupe. And maybe just maybe start spraying some paint ^^

                  Thanks for looking!

Yeah I really developed a severe affinity for her for the 40 or so days I owned it. Was such a damn cool car and I had so many plans for her. But alas, new project... new plans :)

scored a euro valance for her! and maybe euro trim! April is going to be a fun month... :D

Additionally, this car will be for sale probably close to May. If anyone is seriously interested, you may contact me for more info on the car or more info on what is being done to the car. If you are motivated, I can build it to buyer spec. (lose PS and A/C ect ect.)

Please contact me if interested, the following modifications will be applied or can be forgone for a buyer. I have one individual interested in MO but nothing concrete yet, this buyer will get primary call but contact me if you would be interested in a slick top spec e30 ready 1991 318iS.

FS add will look something like this:

Brillantrot 1991 BMW 318iS Slick Top (no sunroof)
                            ~149k miles
                            5 speed (of course_
Purchased from a middle aged man who had owned it 5 years and had purchased it for his wife as a 20th year anniversary present. No real records, owner prior to himself is the Bay manager for Import Specialists here in Springfield MO, exotic and hyper-exotic dealer here in town.

Car will be equipped with and include but not limited to:
                            Mark D chipped M42

                            Z3 SSK
                            Clutch stop
Excellent black leather sport interior with perforated black ski-pass rear seats. And plush BMW floor mats. Grey carpet and door panel inserts for a smooth two tone look.
                            OEM radio
                            All trunk tools/jack/chock ect.
                            NO RUST
All original body panels sans the valance as it will be getting a euro valance and perhaps euro trim. (will be doing some bodywork and respray on the drivers fender as the gentleman's daughter put a dent in it in the driveway) The hood and valance will be sprayed as well, the hood has a few rock chips and we'll be doing bodywork anyhow.
Car will sit on GC coils and Koni yellow single adjustables
ATE powerslot rotors, and performance pads, with steel braided brake lines.
M3 offset CABs, and newish control arms and TABs.
Redline fluids throughout and switching to a synthetic oil.
Car will come with 14" US basketweaves and a set of direct fit 15x7.5 Kosei K1 wheels.
                            US sealed beams (may change)
Momo 330mm steering wheel and hub

This is just a preliminary list and is subject to change. This car is wonderfully nice as it sits, but will be CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN for its new owner.

Price is also subject to change but will probably be near $6,000 when all is said and done, this of course will be subject as well to modification completed. In all, someone will be getting a very rare slicktop almost ENTIRELY ready for track/auto-x use.

                            Thanks for looking!
