Nah dude. Only late E30 M3s came with aluminum control arms.

Why is this such a pissing contest? This is probably worse than Mustang vs. Camaro on domestic iron forums. B-b-b-but if I put a Griggs suspension on the Stang and some R888s I'd smoke you in the straights, the turns, and in the paddock when all these toothless bitties in XXL Budweiser t-shirts will start sweatin mah nuts. I say probably because I don't actually browse F-body / Mustang forums.

I'm not saying e30s are teh bestest or Zs arent, im just honestly curious.
In the case of the 350Z, it actually has a pretty innovative suspension design.

It's a multi-link front and rear that uses lots of aluminum. Front suspension camber/caster can only be adjusted by replacing the upper control arms with adjustable units.

But quality pieces can be had for about the same price as Vorshlag camber plates for BMWs.

The Nissan 350Z front suspension and steering employed a multi-link system. Check out the 350Z front suspension and steering, including pictures.

The Nissan 350Z rear suspension and the VDC were designed to handle an abundance of power. Learn more about the 350Z rear suspension and the VDC.

      8. The spring bucket, also with a toe bolt. Or SPL makes a spring bucket with heim joint at the hub to adjust toe. True coilovers also the use of a spring bucket delete toe arm.
      7. Rear camber arm, again replace with adjustable and you have full range of camber adjustement. Important on lowered cars.
      5. Traction rod, this can also be replaced with an adjustable unit. Allows you to change the rear bumpsteer. Again helpful on lowered Zs.
      3. Is the upper link, no adjustable upper rear links that I know of.

Because comparing to non-track drivers driving street cars on the street is the ultimate comparison of superior engineering.

      Duh.

I don't care if he thinks his swap car better. Doesn't bother me at all.

In reality, I'm just waiting a few years for people to get the S54 swap nailed and the price of the engines and 6spd's to come down.

Then I'll be back in an E30.

This thread is hilarious, given the means I'd like to see how many people would actually still DD an E30.

I bet A LOT would still DD one! But I'd also bet 95% of them would take the newer car out on a saturday night to a nice dinner or date with their lady or even go single to a bar/club, etc instead of the e30.

            Actually I'll be DDing a 4 door e36 325, with s50 cams, tune, exhaust, m3 kit, h&r sports, and some DS2s.

I want a clean DD now that I have the means, my s54 e30 m3 will be my going out car and my fun car! :pimp:

Me, chris, joey, mo, mammoth, curlie, and countless others. Not everyone drives an e30 cause its all they can afford. Its not uncommon for people to dump 10-20k in to their non m cars. There is just something about the basic non computer aided, un muted driving experience that calls to us. I'm not saying the e30 is god's chariat but it is a truely remarkable machine considering how simple it is. The only thing better for me would be an ariel atom or lutus exige s. But I promised I would not make any large purchases till I get a bigger house. And the lack of torque on the rx8 does not really bother me. Its the poor build quality.

Congrats on the pickup. I got one on Sunday.

                  Loving it so far!

It came with Espelir springs and what appear to be stock shocks.

It handles great, from what I have read they are good springs so I will be getting Koni yellows.

E30's are cool cars over here, they are rare, and good to dd and to live with in my opinion.

It is comfortable, easy to park, cool, semi classic....

For me it's the best dd i have ever driven.

I'll bite, what were your previous daily drivers?

There is nothing wrong with an e30. even one with an m42 but it is apples and oranges to almost any quality car made after 2000.

                              Nice pick up parker!

Do you know which model of Espelir springs those are? They have two different ones for the 350Z.

I don't want to go the coilover route, but finding the right spring seems elusive since most have softer spring rates than the 2004.5+ model in the rear. Lowering + less spring rate doesn't seem ideal.

I've been leaning toward the R*SR Ti2000 spring or the Eibach Pro-Kit. But in no hurry.

I have no idea which they are nor what wheels I have :P.

I can say it handles great!

I ordered Koni yellow Sports this morning, could not believe they were 150 more (750) then the ones I had on the CL.
