I still have some toying around to do with fitment, so it's just bolted up now - but I will weld it in the future.
Mike lended a huge hand in getting it done and helped all day. I just saw it for the first time in daylight and I couldn't be much happier with how it came out. I definitely have to figure something out with the wheelwells, but I probably won't get around to that for awhile.
Then, ya know. Take care of the whole "my car is four colors" thing.
that's pretty awesome. the only thing I really don't like about early cars is the lack of a rear valance. of course I don't really like the late rear valance all that much either, but it's a heck of a lot better than nothing.
Damn Bill, nice work! Now you gotta get the front end on, but that's the easiest part. :D
Done and done. (well, not really)
It's kinda sorta black though. And the bumper is just sitting on the side sliders.
It was go OEM or go home for me when it came to the plastic conversion. I don't particularly like any aftermarket aprons, but I think the OEM later-body look is awesome. There's still lots left to do if I want it perfect (which I probably won't end up doing).
looks badass...i like the fact that u got an IS lip in there asap.
i was wondering if there was any method u used to figure out where the plastic sliders bolt on for the sides of the bumper. thanks

Ha, the iS lip isn't even mine. It's e304lyfe's, we just clipped it on to see how it looked. Rest assured that I'm ordering a lip today. I'm sporting a regular 'i' lip until then.
I don't have the sliders on the back, they would make the bumper stick out to the sides too far. I'm just using a nut and bolt there. On the front, they just bolt up (the bolts come from behind the fender/valence).
