The paramedics let me out of the ambulance to take pics of my car. I climbed out and only had cuts and all the muscles under my ribs are bruised as well as a bruised spleen. I am picking up the car tomorrow from the tow yard and will take more pics and post them.

Quick Brief on my car. My car was off the road for a year while I rebuilt the suspension and replaced every bushing. Many man hours and much love put into it.

Does anyone know the crash test ratings on these cars? It seems that everytime one of them goes people tell the survivor that they are 'lucky' to be alive...but there are so many 'luckys' that its just the norm. I just think these cars are really safe. My mom got in two accidents when she got both of hers back in the day. One was when a drunk driver smashsed straight into the side of the car at a four way intersection when she stalled and walked away without a scratch...the car was so bad it was totaled and this was back in '86 when it was new. Then another time when driving 80 on the freeway in the rain. Some guy moved into her lane pushing her on to the center divide and it threw her into 360's... car was a wreck and she walked away without a scratch. Sorry to hijack... glad your ok OP!

sucks to hear about it but do you want to mail me your engine? :D

and sorry if i misunderstood this but off for a year for suspension and bushings? i'm doing more than that and i might be pushing a week tops if i add up all the time in the last three weeks i've actually spent working on it,...............and that's with me working like i'm an hourly union guy.
I'd rather bag your mom than my car :D
