Ouch man. I definitely liked where you were going with the car, especially as it was a 4dr. You will drive carefully for awhile but as soon as you get the itch to drive aggressively sign up for a track day or an autocross. It will make incidents like that much less likely in many ways.

Sorry I didn't mention anything specific. Yeah all my suspension components seem to be fine, so I'm swapping EVERYTHING over. Motor, tranny, front subframe, rear subframe (since I have the camber/caster adjusters welded on and the poly bushings) and all corners of the suspension with it. When I jack up my car the droop of the front struts seem to be the same as before so I guess that's a good sign. Won't know for sure if everything is okay until I get an alignment on the new car but nothing is bent so I think I lucked out!
Also my wheels even made it through the carnage. Only one wheel has a bend in it that will affect anything, which I'm going to use a huge mallet to hammer out. Everything else is just cosmetic damage. Even the tires are fine, I just broke the bead on the passenger side ones. I'm planning to sell my BFG's cheap and use the money for something better. Hoping to get around $300 OBO for set of 4 otherwise I may just drive them till they're dead myself.Last edited by dnova89; 08-18-2010, 08:36 PM.Comment

Half the time it is not even you. I've lost a friend (who just beat cancer) and come close to losing my roommate who I've known since middle school, they were both on bikes riding within the law and idiots in cars creamed them. One driver was drunk, the other was uninsured.
In fact, for how much reckless riding these guys did, no injury that I'm aware of actually resulted from aggressive riding. Just idiots who didn't see them.paint sucksComment
