    Gentlemen, work, has been done.

Ah shit... as I was taking out the slave cylinder, I just kept pulling and pulling and the piston came right out :(

Chain snapped as we were trying to jack up the chasis and gravity did some work for the day too haha

You thot u waz low, naw u aint low.

    Aftermath of chain snappage:

Oh and... the light on my new red e30's key still works! Booya! haha..

Next weekend we'll be dropping the front end of the red e30 and maybe get started on the front end swap the same day or the following weekend. After that I'm taking the red e30 up to Ryan G with my sub-frame from the blue e30 and he'll use his forklift to install it ez pz style.

AY...... those jack stands were good, I don't think any jack stands were meant to take loads at angles like that once the car started gong backwards from the chain snap. The reason the chain broke was because instead of actually connecting the chain through a bolt/nut connected to the actual bumper SHOCK, we didn't have a bolt that would fit through the chain while still having a nut for the bolt to close the chain in, so we chose to mount it where we did using one of the bumper shock mounting bolts. Bad choice because the edge of the bumper shock frame thing cut and dug into the chain while it was under load and eventually cut through it.

Not tryin' to justify made in china parts or anything.... but they get the job done lol

              Thanks for the luck!

i dunno they look like china harbor frieght stands to me. i had a ford ranger fall like that a while back and my jack stands looked nothing like that afterwards... heat them up with a torch and dolly them back save yourself some more money

They are harbor frieght stands, they're only $20 for two I'm just gonna buy a new set. I know HF doesn't make the best shit, but they don't make the worst shit either. I have 2 slightly smaller jackstands I always use as emergency back-ups if I'm under the car anyway.

Thanks man! I'll keep it updated whenever new stuff happens. Can't wait to be in an e30 again... might pick up an e39 this week as a new daily, but I'm sure I'll have an itch to drive the e30 on the street every now and then. Whatever my new daily might be, the red e30 will eventually turn into a track car with a full roll cage and such in it's future (talkin 1-2 years maybe) as I progress my driving skill, but for now I just need to get my ass to the track and drive! Plain and simple, and I can't wait! Hoping to hit the track with a friend in October.

Bro man dude, I just took my e39 to the track at Thunderhill and I went to San Diego for halloween so I've been a bit busy. Resuming work this Saturday, gonna pull the entire front end off the red car, then one more weekend to put the blue car's front end into the red car. Then I take the red car to ryanG to have the rear end from my blue car put in, maybe a few more details here and there, and I should be done!

your plan con los mexicanos just might work.
