Awesome! Nice to see you trying to get back into the game!

The e46 rack how many turns does it have? And it just bolts in? No modification required like the e36 racks?

Bolts right in, just like my e36 rack did. I still fail to see the modifications required to fit either rack to the e30.

Thanks everyone for the support by the way.

why no rocker locks? those springs look like they would allow to much lateral play when you booost

Nope, not turkish. Definitely Brazilian, possibly white.

I do have swedish friends though.

As for rocker locks, I never even heard of them until you mentioned it and I googled it. I never heard of M30 folks running them while on boost, so a low pressure setup (my goal) probably wouldn't suffer much.

So today there was a crapload of stuff to be done. We were so focused into it that I really didn't bother taking any pics (I think like 3 total). But if a picture is worth 1000 words, I think this little video sums up our progress today.

Excellent. Glad to see it back on the.... track.

I've been wondering about the E46M rack since it was mentioned by SA E30 like 6 months ago. Wonder how it compares to the Z3.

Mike! Good to see you're still around. Hope all is good with Tanja and Emily (I'm assuming she's grown quite a bit since '06). I've been undercover during the World Cup, hidden away in California :p I did get to at least see Mariano and Adrian while I was out there!

As for the crank nut, it wasn't bad at all. We removed the spark plugs to remove the compression in the motor and we basically didn't touch it after setting it to TDC.

By the way, I want to smack the person who made the TDC marking in the back of the cylinder head. It's a straight line..... and not vertical to the pulley.... definitely horizontal.
