Still having trouble with fuse 3 shorting out. It's only shortens out when I press the ac button. That relay also clicks everytime I turn on the ac with the button on the hvac. What is that relay for? Imma try and replace the AC harness on the dash see if it's cut or anything.
I made a clip with the relay clicking when I press the button. You can't really hear it but that the relay that clicks, located right next to the heater core valve.

Update:
What fuse does #3 holds? I check the manual and it says 15 but everytime I turn the ac on it blows. I put in a 20 fuse and it doesn't blow, it works?Comment

So fuse 3 was blowing without any fans connected to the Black/Green wire?
Then you have harness issues. Was the car ever in an accident?
That clicking is the evaporator temperature regulator, repairing your A/C switch will stop that. You can try unplugging the switch for now. It's supposed to cycle the A/C compressor.
This is the exact problem I am having. The evaporator temperature regulator is clicking on, and the compressor comes on for only 3 seconds at a time.
What is the A/C switch repair DaveSmed speaks of? Does anyone else know?Comment

I had the same problem and with a relay and two fuse i rewired my stock aux fan to high speed as my fan resistor was blown and i could not find any replacement parts for it basically i use the relay to make it use a low current to feed the high amp stock aux fan i search on the web to built my harness you can wire it either with the ac switch to trigger the aux high speed fan or with the aux high temp switch so if it goes past 1/2 temp indicator on the cluster it will trigger the aux fan and stop as the temp goes back to the normal temp hope that Helps you.since i have done it my #3 fuse has stop blowing when i put my a/c on i admit the fan is noisy but does his job perfectlyLast edited by evilming 6n2; 07-07-2012, 08:16 PM.Comment

Sounds like you have a different problem, most likely a low refrigerant charge.-Dave
