Well the top isn't done, just enough to make the car drivable.I think a parts e28, and a pro to redo the roofline is in order, it can look so much better. I've been looking at a lot of chop cut methods, and it looks like there are a bunch of things that could have been done differently to make it cleaner, but it also looks like the under semi is a thematic requirement, so I might be able to assume that is why it was done so flat, like it was part of the plan.
As far as the flatness, its as flat as a standard E28 roof. No more, no less. It is, however, sloped towards the rear, in a somewhat traditional "rake chop" fashion.
A few people say that they think it's too flat, but I'm not quite sure what they mean. If the roof was curved it wouldn't match in any way. Right now its factory, just longer. :)Comment

I think what they really mean is that it looks like shit. Now post pics of your old e24 to save the threadWell the top isn't done, just enough to make the car drivable.

Ok, I went back and looked at the pictures again to better explain the comment I made.
1.) By simply decking the c-pillar/hof kink, the visual roof height was not dropped correctly. A complex shape such as that should have been properly sectioned, decreased in front to rear length,
b.) Because of 1.), the rear door is visually too long, and it makes the b-pillar look out of position.
Lastly, If the rear door was sealed and sectioned and the length was added to the front door to make it a 2 door coupe, the visual line would flow cohesively for the shape of the car.Comment

The second was a conscious decision to not insert the quarter glass separator. The lengthened rear side window made the car look longer, which I thought added to the change of the chopped top.
I know its not how everyone would have done it, and I've been told by a lot of people that pictures simply make the car look different than in person. I guess you'll have to check it out for yourself. :)Comment

If I can think of one 'word' to sum it up: gnar. Love it, it's funny because I was showing my dad pics of the rusted out version of your car the other day. I need some sort of rat rod once I get money, fuckin ill.
