This is the nastiness that came out of the front drivers seat with my Little Green machine Bissell. Can't believe how clean all the seats got with this thing. It was clean before, now they look factory fresh.

The car is just absolutely terrific though, and you can't buy a new one in the US anymore - these are A6 based and the new "smallroad" is A4 4 cyl 2.0... Nothing like the A6 C5 allroad
The 4.2 is a labyrinth! Those nylon runners wear out around 100k, right? I have to do my timing belt on my 3.0 V6 this next month and that is also a pain. You're right, I will most definitely remove that front clip with the radiator and all to make the whole thing easier.

an allroad would be so great. Those 2.7t engine are so tightly packed in the engine bay though. It's such a pain in the ass to do anything to them. you might has well be ready to pull the engine for standard maintenance.

here's what I mean by money pit
work on my (wife's really) 04 2.7T TIP
-- new front and rear windshields, bumper covers and wheel flares (needed trust me)
-- full PDR and paint correction
    -- APR stage 1 tune (3 settings, 320hp)
    -- new engine seals
-- new OEM front shocks (billies were too harsh on this car)
-- new Arnott gen2 airbags all around, and a new suspension compressor
-- hotchkiss front and rear sways
-- cayenne 17Z 6 piston brembos with C230 sport rotors
    -- S8 rear brake setup
-- OEM RS4 18" wheels with allroad offset
-- OEM fold-under euro trailer hitch
-- OEM allroad floor and cargo mats
-- new 2011 A3 RNSE, OEM BT module and Tune2Air AMI to BT dongle

also looking for / need to do:
-- a hatch cover as ours broke :-(
-- interior trim cleanup including the headliner (sunroof leak, saggy cloth)
-- kombi valve replacement (secondary air system issues - annoying)
-- K04 turbo upgrade when the time comes

Definitely our 2nd favorite car after our vert.
wow all the mods i love! I'm not new to the audi game....so i know what I'm getting into here, but I'm not really trying to go crazy with this (famous last words). This is replacing my 1995 Nissan Altima beater, i use to commute & park in NYC on the wkends with......so the bumpers are a bit bruised up + dings/dents already which is perfect for me ;)

I just need it to be in running/driving order....the only things I have planned soon for it is new LCD screen for the cluster (can't read shit), ordered a red allroad badge for the trunk from Cut by Cashy or something like that.....and might spray the bumpers/flares w/ SEM 39193 which is very close to the stock color of the bumpers now. Also gonna take a stab at refinishing the two-piece wheels w/ the Wurth wheel kit. They WILL get curbed (gf will be driving it)....so having them pro finished isnt' an option. lol

    thanks! ^

Stopped by the bodyshop over the wkend, frame has been pulled. Apparently the area behind the headlight was crushed, so it required a pull.

Still waiting on an OEM front valence from Germany.....rust repair in the engine bay under way....

Also picked up a new 'winter beater/money pit'....living up to my username here ;)
