didn't realize your HT back had no arm rest - I feel ya there with my cardinal.

i actually have a sub tube in my vert trunk. sounds fine as long as the top's up. trunk rattles like a low rider.

and yeah, if you leave the black arm rest rear back there, we'll give you a pass. still sacrilege but lesser degree :-)

maybe i'll just leave the rear back bench black leather (w. the armrest) and everything else houndstooth.

I'll consider maybe cutting holes on the rear deck, and the top of the lukebox....but I had my mind set on cutting the portholes already! I wish this damn houndstooth seat had an armrest.

seriously though, just get creative. route a tube up through the sides or something... cut the damn interior sheet metal before cutting up that rear!

as to bass frequencies getting muffled by the fabric and padding - that's NOT the way it works. the mid range and highs get attenuated, not the lows. get a friggin eq and big amp, then tune the cr@p out of it until you get the sound you want. your decklid will rattle but you're inside man...

you know how rare that is right? do you really need to chop that up? I'm trying to source an arm rest rear for my cardinal interior. I may end up having to add one using my grey armrest rear, but I'll hate every minute of it lol

i need my music! the rear lukebox sub will be deemed useless unless i cut out holes in it. Trust me I already tried listening to how it would sound w/ my current rear armrest up, and the sound is severely restricted.

I was looking for a rear houndstooth armrest backside, but came up short....even scoured UK ebay....but it was just too pricey.

I haven't had a chance to call the bodyshop, but I do know the front end is all removed (fenders, hood, bumper and valence)....

btw if you need any ix parts, my friend and i parted out one last week. A ton of good parts on it...clean carpets, black door cards, full premium sound speakers + tweeters, etc etc
