I do go to local meets in NJ from time to time.....not many tho. I've been to a couple BMW shows as well.....but that's about it. If you're ever in Staten Island, PM me.

finally got around to replacing the odometer gears, install Alpina green stripe, djgenius ebay cluster rings & replaced the bulbs in the cluster. Thanks E30darkknight for the huge help today!!

I'm VERY pleased on how the cluster came out. Had my doubts about not keeping it OEM, but i love the look.

i got them off ebay, from an ebay user djgenius i think it was. I believe he's on bimmerforums too. I liked these over any of the others I've seen b/c they snap right into the cluster. No glue required. The only hitch (which i didn't know about cluster rings) is you need to remove the clear plastic cover over the cluster in order to install any rings. Fortunately it was painless.....i used a box cutter, and wedged it in between the clear plastic & the black plastic....and broke down the adhesive. It came off pretty easy for me.

I reattached it, wrapping the clear plastic using blue painters tape to keep it together w/ the rest of the cluster (while the glue dried)....and dabbed gorilla glue in several spots around the edges where the two pieces met.

btw my cluster rings are plastic, not metal, but to be honest I love the look.

btw now that you mentioned it, i did want that Alpina digital vent gauge, but super hard to find and pricey. I was considering the cheaper option that podi sells.
