it was a nice day today, so I cleaned up the interior (vacuumed, cleaned the dash, milk conditioned the seats). Top off fluids, greased up the stick antennae & reset my inspection lights.

Good inspiration. Are those seat covers original to this car? Mine need a leatherique job and a driver bolster swap.

Stuck replacing rusted out rear brake hard lines right now :-(
Wasn't planning a subframe and line refresh til later. Oh well

Actually my car originally came w/ comfort leather seats. The rears are still original to the car. I swapped the fronts out for original leather sport seats that were in rough shape. Here is a writeup i did when i redye'd the bolsters. I cleaned up the rails & existing leather as well.

ty! I never liked rear spoilers for some strange reason. On any car for that matter. I was almost tempted to remove the lip spoiler on the E46 too. lol

The front iS lip i remove every winter. I usually drive thru a ton of snow when i go snowboarding, so I would completely destroy it if i left it on.

What are the specs on the wheels you use for your winter wheels? That lip is massive. And you have an iX. And I want them.

thanks man! i wouldn't call it 'massive' but def a bit more lip than i've seen on other iX's (since we're kind of limited).

Here are the specs on the wheel/tire combo i have:

15x7 ET35 Axis OG San wheels, Graphite w/ machined lip (purchased from Amazon.com)
                  195/55/15 Michelin X-tires

I had to run 10mm spacers (running ECS Tuning ones w/ extended lugs). The spokes of the wheel didn't clear the front calipers, due to the design of the wheel. It just missed clearing. You might get away with thinner spacers but I didn't try. The rears clear fine with or without spacers.

                  No rubbing issues at all.

Drove up thurs night in the thick of the storm from NYC to Jay Peak (8hr drive), and the E30 muscled thru flawlessly carrying 4 guys, 4 boards and all our gear for the wkend. I still can't believe how stable she was with the Michelin x-ices....was passing plows the entire way up. Witnessed two accidents in front of me, two jackknifes, and two cars in ditches.
Conditions are a bit icy on the mountains. Kind of wish we were further south, but the trip was pre-planned.

Haha. I actually had euroweaves ordered before I bought this current winter setup but waited 6 months and didn't arrive in time before last winter. I had to revert to plan b which was this. I agree w both of u tho, those def were #1 on my list for winter wheels!
