Yeah that's the same one I have with a newer FOB.

that's definitely a nicer FOB than the REC-43T I use. Please do post details, and also confirm you have the trunk release working... I assume panic doesn't work, and that you don't have the lights and horn connected?

PS: you can still get brand new BMW key blanks, both the original kind with embossed bmw logo (like in your pic), and the modular one with lighted head.

pics of the system E30darkknight and I installed yesterday.

Question: Installed my Pioneer 80prs yesterday, but the dimmer feature doesn't seem to work when I turn my headlights on.

I forget exactly which wire we hooked up the orange headunit wire to, but basically it was the only wire left on the harness that wasn't hooked up to anything (purple/red I believe).

Are the E30s capable of dimming w/ aftermarket headunits....or do I need to tap into another souce (eg OBC) to get them to dim w/ the lights on?

Thank you that really means a lot coming from someone with a gorgeous E30 like yours ;) And I totally feel you on that, I was having the same exact worry about drilling into my old spoiler-less trunk until I was miraculously able to find a mint euro de-badged iS trunk with the spoiler in my EXACT paint color all thanks to a local fellow E30-er. Bolted it on and you couldn't tell it didn't belong on it I like to think that was a very lucky find though lol

Definitely some resemblance lol only sometimes I wish my ix flares came with the actual drivetrain too given the brutal winters we get up here in canada lol
I absolutely love your Alpinas! always had a soft spot for Alpina wheels, would be my second choice if I didn't have my RS's. Also I'm gonna have to +1 on the spoiler with the others in my opinion. Maybe this pic will help you decide somewhat

Sorry didn't mean to jack your thread with my pics man! Just found it cool to have a twin ;) Awesome job with the car man keep up the great work, you got a seriously wicked ix!

yes, i think that's the one. sure looks like it. don't know the backstory except that it occurred offsite at a parking lot of a hotel nearby. i think the other party wasn't affiliated with the event.

pretty sure that's several thousands of dollars (and probably NLA parts) worth of damage right there.
