Did the VW scene for a while:

Finally got a hold of a dream car. In my mind, this is classic BMW to me:

    89 325iC / 5spd / 13 button / leather, heated sport seats

I love the car. A lot of maintenance has been done previous but I will still be doing the basics soon. Plan to just bring it back to showroom setting, maybe an OEM+. Look forward to some get-togethers, having a chance to work on it.

Been reading a lot, not much posting.

I had the 1.8T Variant slammed. I had a short ride to work then.

This I want to be able to joy ride without fearing a pothole or manhole cover will steal my oil pan.

There will be room for some other mods though.

I need to get friendly with ya'll and looking for some maintenance work to be done. I can turn the wrench but learn by doing/seeing. Even with the great write-ups here I like to have someone in the know, been there done that before experience to help along.

plastic bumpers should be direct swap since its a vert. About the low, that's what they all say then you start doing mods and then the 2-3 inches of fender gap start haunting you in your dreams lol

I would be interested in mounting a euro front plate; I am not one to run front and rear tags. Direct swap, part number?

I think I will keep the diving boards. I am going for restoring it back with a little plus. I don't mind the safety bumpers... not now at least. After a few GTGs I will probably want all sorts of stuff.

I'd say a major maintenance. BMW Speak Inspection II? Timing belt with associated parts, plugs, filters, fluids. Brakes are good.

I want to do some little things, too. Replace OBC lightbar (LED upgrade) I may get to tomorrow. Whats your schedule tomorrow? Wanna hang out!?

I think I have a ground issue. When the headlights are on, the lights both exterior and interior sometimes surge. I have read headlight switch replacement may help? I think I need to see what the alternator is doing too, maybe overcharging?

Looking for a parts car. Grab some simple things from. I want to restore my car best I can.

A few hours of detailing. Lots of time claying anything I could. The clay really cleaned up the plastic window. I think with some polish the window will become like new. Swirl marks in the paint still visible upon inspection. Short of wetsanding, I don't know of any way to get those gone. All the black bits need to be pulled and painted.

Replaced some switches, so now all work and light up. Vert. latch replaced and repaired. Cig. lighter with good pictogram. Two eBay BMW logo blank keys in hand and need cut. Really trying to get the interior as clean as possible without doing major restorations like reupholstering or dyeing.

                    Upcoming:

                    - Clean & treat top
                    - Install cassette rear console / modify for heated seat switches
                    - Replace tan kick panels with black
                    - Replace OBC light w. LED

                    ISO:

                    - Black door pulls w. map pockets
                    - Window circuit breaker switch w. good pictogram
                    - Front plate delete strip
                    - Passenger side fog
                    - Factory option CD changer set-up to replace aftermarket Kenwood 10 disc (trade?)

How could I forget, absolutely looking for headrests (and brackets for that matter) to add rear headrests. Interior is natur leather. Driver's side left bottom bolster, too, is in need of replacement.
