I don't think I can bring myself to replace the old british engines with bike or honda engines, plus I don't think I would be able to race in any historic classes if I did that.
Yeah I know the wiring is very poor and it actually drives me the fuck up the wall, but for now it works because when I got it, it had literally no wiring in it not even brake lights so for now until I clean up the whole wiring mess and install an actual dashboard with switches and everything fused and on relays, that is how it is going to have to look.
As for the wide body, I think it has definitely seen better days seeing as that is the original clip the guy who raced it put on it. Surprisingly it actually doesn't have very much rust issues at all, only the rear bumper area has a couple of holes that will need to be addressed but the roll cages is all tied into the suspension pick ups and sub-frames so the actual body doesn't really have any structural necessity any longer.
I am actually going to make it into a historic class rally car for rally america so all the fiberglass flares and such will be going back to steel anyway.Leave a comment:
