It almost looks like the caliper came off of the knuckle first? That caused the wheel to lock and then the strut housing broke off of the knuckle? The caliper is not bolted to the knuckle in the second picture...did the bolts come loose or did you take them out?E30 325i 24v, E36 M3/4/5, MK2 GLI 16v, NA8 Miata

Okay, so did the housing break off inside the knuckle? Or slide completely out? Strange because I was looking at the under side of my steering knuckles while my car was in the rack this morning wondering what keeps the housings in there!
