Great looking car! Love sterling silver.

    Few things:

    Is your iS lip primer?

Front could come down another inch.

I agree that the chrome trim looks good on sterling. I was looking at pics of my car and it actually usually blends in with the silver, so shadowline isn't necessary. Shadowline is still tits on any other color though.

Let's drive fast and have fun.

      randomtask37 and bwanac-
i would say it cost me about $175 to redo the wheels, i paid $35 for 50lbs of fine bead for the bead blaster, and spent about 10 hours blasting all the cosmoline off of the wheels, then i put a conversion coat on them so the primer would adhere better, the i used vari prime primer $34 for 1 quart and $13 for the activator, then i got artic silver metalic a porsche body color and basemaker for $55 (one quart) and chroma clear $40 for 1 quart..... i sprayed them with sata HVLP guns (made in germany).... it would have cost me $150 a wheel to get them refinished by someone else, and i think i did a pretty good job. i bought the wheels from somone on this site for $390 shipped, i did a rim runout test on them, and they are perfectly straight....

and yes i plan on making a center cap to cover the centerbore of the wheel, and might put the bmw roundel or a BBS sticker on them.... might make two sets and switch them depending on how i feel..... thanks for all you input

digitalwave- first person to notice the primer lip.... i have been thinking about painting it, i have the paint, but i have ripped it off twice, and dont want to paint it and then mess it up, i am thinking i will go black like yours (not because i want to be like you, but because i dont want to have to spend $30 on paint every week) and the front is up a little higher for that reason.... after winter is over and it stops raining i will drop it back down.

oh.... these pics were taken today, and i might as well tell you a little bit about how often my car gets hit.......
i bought it 6 months ago, and since then it has been hit 3 times.
first time an RV backed into it causing 978 in damage
second time an mazda protoge backed into it causing 759 in damage
two weeks ago today i got rear ended causing $3322.72 in damge......
that is 3 thousand 3 hundred twenty two dollars and seventy two cents
if you look closly above my rear fender arches you can see they are buckled in, and my trunk lid is not lined up..... what i am thinking is take the 3000 and make a down payment on an s50... what do you think?

How do you like the Azenis'?
Your in the Pacific North West, so rain is abundant.... I've heard mixed reviews from people here on the east coast about them.

People complain wet traction sucks given the large blocky tread pattern.

Looks sharp. 15" suits e30's perfectly.
        Below the radar...

nice to see another sterling silver E30. You should at least paint the is lip black until you can have it painted! Love the BBS wheels, getting centercaps for those? You're going to the E30nw picinic this year right? :)

yes i will be at the picnic.... i was at it last year too.... but my car was completly stock... except for the ghetto JVC cd player that came with it... if i cared i would get a new one, but oh well..... i will paint the spoiler someday.... i have the paint and all the stuff i need to do it... its just that my car is too low now, i am going to wait until spring to paint it... less debris on the road to rip it off... i will paijt it black tho.... just to make you happy....
and as far as center caps i will make some that cover the centerbore of the wheel, but the lugs will still be exposed.... thanks for the positive feedback

I love your car, looks pristine, even though you got 3 grand worth of damage!!

Anyways, what springs rates are you running? I really want to get Ground Control sometime in the near future, need money....anyways, again looks great, along with that house!

Where in the Sound area are you?

I'd be interested in seeing those on the car. I've been considering those for a wheel upgrade (if something else doesn't pan out).

i am in the bellevue area..... and i love how they look as well, my spring rates are 375f 475r

when i got hit, he hit the right side of the impact strip compressing the bumper shock all the way.... putting a tiny dent in the rear panel and mis aligning the rear bumper and deck lid.... the major problem was the bucle right above both of the rear fender arches, and the paint cracked right above the rear window seal, and my car leaks a little water now, oh, and when i got hit i had these wheels in the back of my car, and one of them flew into my sub (resonant engineering 10" XXX a $250 sub) and dented the cone.... oh well, at least it still works.

well it just rained over here the last few days, and the wet traction of thes tires are much better than my BFG touring t/a's on the 14 inch baskets.... they really are pretty good in the rain....
