I will lower it after that and then rims.
Hey bro its your car do what you want. Everyone around here has an opinion, including myself. I have a replica rieger lip. IMHO its the best option for plastic bumpered car. I think after buying all those body pieces, paying for painting and install if you don't do it yourself, will cost more than a nice suspension setup which will be a lot more fun.

Care to post a writeup of the amber light and lighted shift knob stuff, for the electronically impaired?

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you live in Glendale, in which case you can't get t-stars, 'cuz then there'll be two of us here.

Oh, all right, I'm moving to North Hollywood, but still...

          :)

PS> please disregard disconnect between above comment and below sig pic. it's different now, trust me.

I'm not 100% commited to the idea of the rieger and all. As for the shift knob you take out the plastic cover by unscrewing it, drill a whole towards the bottom as shown in the picture, add a cone so the light distributes evenly, solder two 12 volt 1.5mm LEDs together and wire them through the shift konb, connect the wires to the ones that lead towards the front ash tray light, and your done. Don't forget to carve the numbers in the emblem so they light up :o Good guess I am in Glendale and my T stars will be black with silver lip so don't worry. If you need more help with the shift knob just PM me and I'll get into detail.

I did that same thing with a shift knob back in my freshman year of high school, good to see someone else who's willing to hack something up to make something new. I would not recommend that you run the wires the way you did though, the best trick is to run them along the seam of the leather, there is a groove there that a small 16-18ga wire fits at home in. I made two this way, and ended up picking up a real M5 knob because the light is spread more evenly throughout it.

the cops are more likely to hassle you with that chrome license plate filler than they are without a license plate at all, it just draws attention to the fact that it is not there. I say remove it for that reason, and the fact that it's ugly.
Placing your license plate in your windsheild area will net you zero benefit, it has to be mounted on the front provision of the car. Some police officers may be kind and let you off with a warning if you're displaying it in the windsheild, or some cops will understand that it's ugly .. and let you off :)

I'm pretty sure the dashboard law is the same in Cali, check at the DMV.
that's not true, I got a damn ticket driving throught tangent, I just paid the damn ticket though

                    Beautiful. I love calypso red.

The car is in awesome shape. Keep it that way. It's in the same condition my '89 325ix with 70,000 miles is. Keep up the good work.

 DAMN!!! Are you serious? If so I'd say take that trade. Unless you know something we don't know about the car. ;)

Man, that is a beautiful car. Congrats on the purchase. It's to be proud of!

I would suggest lowering the car, and then getting wheels, before you do any body work. But that's just how I would do it. I wish I had done it that way with my car 4 years ago.

Let's drive fast and have fun.

That thing really looks nice. I would say go suspension and rims first before body kits etc.

I disagree... rieger lip > is lip

it will look great if you paint it body color. and people will actually see it. ;)
