1989 325ix w/Alpina's *UPDATED*

As promised in this thread, I took some pictures of my car with the Alpina's from my '86 325ic on my '89 325ix. It's too expensive now to insure the euro so its going to stay in storage until I can find room in my budget for it.

But for now, 1989 325ix... had 56,000 miles on it back in last June/July, now has 72,000.

I'll post some pictures with the Alpine CDA-9855 I just put in it last week, later tonight when it gets dark.

I had th stock 15" basket's on with the same cheapo tires that came on the car. They sucked major ass going around corners fast because of the lack of grip.

Quick solution, change wheels and tires of the iC that was sitting in storage.

I'm really torn on changing the suspension setup on the car. Last winter was terrible here in Ohio. Tons of snow and I don't know how the car would do with a lowered suspension in 2 feet of snow.

That is with 2WD.

They look good, not blingy so they dont stand out too much on it.

they look good, but they definetly need refinished.

btw if you want to lower but want to keep the utility in the winter, go with coilovers. the GC setup fits the ix just fine and it's not really that expensive either.

The wheels aren't in that bad if shape. I think 2 of them have a little rash on them but most of what you're seeing is the dust from my titanium pads on the 325iC. I took the wheels off the car how they were and didn't clean them up at all. A lot of what of what you see is the dust with my finger/hand prints mixed in.

The tires are Yokohoma ES100's, 205 50 16". They have like 300 miles on them.

yeah, AFAIK it's just the standard ground control setup for E30s.. I know of a GC dealer, sadare@aol.com, who is an ix enthusiast that could give you all the scoop.
