let me know if you can get all the buttons amber because I'd rather purchase that alpine then the other 3 stereos I had in mind. But check these out they all have amber in them and they are pretty good.

I misplaced my user's manual, wanna tell me how to do this blackout thing?

I'll try figuring it out. I can't find the damn manual now.

I'll try figuring it out before the end of the weekend. I'd personally go with the Alpine, expecially over the Kenwood's. My opinion though.

The buttons do infact, change from green to amber. Those are the only two choices for those buttons that appear green in the image I originally posted. I just changed it in my car.

Only the CDA-9855 does that though. The others don't have the power/source change track button color configurable.

I have yet to see it at night. I'll take a picture tonight and I'll try posting it.

          Buy the Alpine:)

                They work for me.

That seems pretty slick, how much is it? I just have an old Kenwood. Its all red but it plays MP3s. :D

Alpine CDA-7894. I have one, it's the EXACT same amber, with no other colours.
:stupid: I have that deck, it's the best. Turn on the blackout display and it's even better :) Not to mention it's a fucking amazing deck. Alpine ownz joo!

IMO the 7894 is way better - and cheaper than any of the new decks, even at SUPAEMPLOYEEDISCOUNT.

Just a little less flashy, no chrome on the face like the newer ones, and the display is simpler - blends in much nicer with our cars. And I think the new decks are getting too fancy - the 7894 will sound amazing to anyone, even with crap speakers. I swapped it into the car the other day - same speakers, but sounds much better. Quality piece.

PS - The 7894 is also MP3 compatible :) And if something breaks, send it to United Radio - flat fee of $94 on most repairs including costs to ship back to you is WELL worth it!

Yep - do a search in this forum, someone posted pics. Awesome deck, MP3 capabilities, and amber lighting - for ALL buttons. Usually $200 or so on Ebay.

I wouldn't go that far. For a low-to-mid range deck, on a Best Buy/Circuit city consumer level, its probably the best you can get... but its really not that great.
