I always loved bimmers, and classic fast cars, so this seemed like a really good match. Maybe that's why your friend got into it too. There's just so many options you can do with these cars and they still look absolutely beautiful. Good luck with your bmw, and your friend's! I wish you both the best of luck with them!

Thanks for the compliments dude, I appreciate it. I've spent the past 4 months trying to figure out what I want to do with this car. I went from wanting to keep it as stock as possible, to a complete opposite paint color, back to being somewhere in the middle. I figured since a repaint is in definite need (as I have minor rust around in various places) I'll keep the original color, but make a few mods that really won't do much harm, such as the is lip, mtech wing, sideskirts, window tinting, wheels, etc etc. All those things can't really take away any value, so why not?
As for automatic, I would like to have until someone can give me a lesson on driving stick. I've had verbal lessons and visual instructions from friends, but I'm too afraid I'll fuck the car up to give it a try. I figured (if money and the right car permits) I would buy a 5 speed and keep my automatic. My reason being is that everyone seems to do a swap and there doesn't seem to be as many automatic e30's. One day I think they will be worth more once the "classic" title comes along, just because it wasn't touched and messed around with like so many other ones. I think one of each would be great anyways. God forbid something happens to one, you always have another to fall back on. That's my take on it at least.
