another E30 M3 destroyed on the streets of Milwaukee
i hope everything works out for the best man!!! As in a fat check so you can build a better m3. And your girlfriend getting used to taking care of you, maybe you can get her used to it while your sick, then once you get healthy again it she'll keep it up ;)
I just read the thread the owner posted over on Bimmerforums. Pretty sad. I am glad the owner is ok and hopefully he gets payed every penny that car is worth.
just remember if you cant get the insurance company to reimburse you for what the car is worth, you can (and you should) get money for pain and stress, loss of work, etc.
10k for pain is not unreasonable, according to a friend of mine that was t-boned in a similar fashion. in fact, i think you should get more since you'll be inconvenienced for quite a while with crutches.
that should make up the difference if they lowball you with something stupid like 14k.
M3 or not that car fulfilled its main purpose, to protect the driver.
I'm glad you made out okay and hopefully the insurance cuts you a big enough check for another m3

you definitely seem like a qualified expert.
the mentality that you deserve some kind of compensation for everything bad that happens to you is questionable. sometimes shit happens, it's life. luckily, he wasn't permanently injured, and hopefully he can move on financially and emotionally.
