just pick up a cheap BMW, gut it out, and strengthen key points, and you will be surprised how hardy these cars are.

The E30 took the hard beating without a single thing breaking, except perhaps the LSD, which was crap to start with. It is now an open diff.

The E28 took it quite well, but it was in terrible shape to begin with, the only thing that got really worse was the already non-attached shift linkage.

              Sweet pics, Sam.

That e28 is doing some serious work, lol. I wish my car was shitty enough warrant such abuse.

My CSB is still holding strong, btw. Haha.

yep that pretty much sums it up. I thought there was a ditch that needed some leveling. Turns out the E30 front valence wasn't up for the task...

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

Fog light was already busted pre-rally. In fact, the cars sustained a very surprisingly small amount of damage from rallying.

In other news, I removed about 100 lbs of mud from the underside of the E28 today, and that is not an exaggeration. I had to use a shovel, and I made a huge pile at the bottom of the driveway, and shoveled it into the back of the truck.

Also, found out why the shifter is being stupid. One of the bolts holding the linkage has backed all the way out. Easy fix.

                      E28s are beast.

Also, just added video to the very beginning of the first post. Check it out, and tell me what you think! Also, video has not been tampered with in any way, I just strung all the different video clips I took together into one video, and that is the full extent of my video editing knowledge.

Let me add, as the E30 pilot, that there would be a lot more sideways going on if it weren't for the deathtraps all over the course (aka puddles). With them there, the fastest line was often to slow waaay down and pick a precise line, rather than start a huge drift and drop a wheel into the frictionless mud. Good for practicing, bad for spectating.

                              Nice E28 sam!

In a few pics the suspension looks about maxed as far as compression. My suggestion is finding some E34 or E32 stuff. It all bolts right up to the E28! If you use their springs, especially the V8 or the M30 ones in the front, and the iL ones in the rear, they will raise the car up too!

If you use E34/32 front struts, you have to use their dogbones (bolts to the bottom) and for the rear, just use the E28 strut top with the E34/32 strut.

While your at it, you can snag the bigger brakes from the E34 too! (not that it really matters for rally, just go more sideways to slow down)
