Nice doppelganger you've got there - I hope to get mine on a track soon too.
I don't think it's zinno - the previous owner told me henna, and it does seem a much warmer red in person. My 325ix was factory zinnoberrot, and was a cooler red, more on the pink side. Maybe the respray is brilliantrot? The few pristine areas (inside the trunk and doors) strike me as brilliant or henna, maybe somewhere in-between.
ahhh, mystery resprays.

omg f'k yes.Originally posted by misterTTCan someone say e38 style 5 w/ nogaro centers? :D
Clean them. Scuff them with a scotchbrite. Dunk them in Duplicolor bronze.
Do it !!
Here is inspiration:

A solid color makes wheel look bigger. The bronze color plays nice with red while also taking part in good 'contrast' factor.. and since the color black isn't used - it's not like you're hiding the wheel overmuch.Comment

Alright it's been too long since my last update. Finally got my new wheels and a chip installed, and yesterday fixed my broken water pump and stuck-open thermostat. That called for a bath and a joyride up CA Hwy 2!
Enjoy the pics. Wheels are 16" e38 style 5s, centers painted Nogaro Silver.

I'm just happy the car made it on a 4-hour drive without mechanical failure. THAT is a step in the right direction!
