    Thanks for all the replies!

The wheels are Fill-and-Drills, done by LAX wheel refinishing. I got them in trade for the ESMS from a R3V member, who did the painting and got the fill-n-drill done as well (thanks again!), so i'm not sure the exact cost. I have a ballpark though.

I'm looking into picking some IS side skirts up soon, and once i've got those i'll color match the lip and skirts. The color match may be difficult - it clearly isn't quite Henna, nor Brilliantrot. I'm thinking Hellrot might be the closest, but I don't know anyone with a Hellrot car to compare it to. I did see an older e30 in Henna on the freeway a couple days ago, and it was MUCH more orange than this car is. It's a mystery I guess

Simon S - I definitely dig the bronze wheels! Maybe somewhere down the road if I can pick up another set of wheels for track tires i'll do that.

Mr 325 - Hwy 2 is pretty great, though the aftermath of the fire makes it a little less awesome for the first 30 miles or so. I do like the newly paved portion of the road, though!

I got a chance to drive up there on a weekday - I never realized how EMPTY it was during the week! There were a few construction trucks, maybe 3 or 4 other people out for a drive (couple nice EVOs), and a handful of misc cars, and that's it. Very refreshing :)

It definitely is Henna, I was the one who had it painted. The trim and door handles being color matched was a total eff up from the body shop but it was a $600 paint job and looked pretty alright when I owned it, wish I had never sold it! Glad you are resurrecting her, she deserves it. Can't wait to pick up another e30 hopefully real soon.

Good to hear from a former owner - thanks for chiming in! The paint definitely looks the part of a $600 job - I can get it to polish up pretty well, but it definitely goes back into oxidization mode within a couple weeks. Somewhere down the road i'll get it repainted - either back to DS or maybe Delphin or Graphit Metallic. I've got the IS skirts laying around as well, maybe i'll get those paint matched in the meantime.

Anything else you can tell me about the car? Always good to know a little history.

Other than all the service being up to date besides an oil change that was 100 miles from being needed, and it running spot on and being the funnest driving car I have ever owned there isn't much to share.

seller's remorse. Always nice to see fellow r3v'ers getting hooked on the M42 :)

So some jerk tapped my back end a few weeks ago when it was parked, and crunched up my driver's taillight and bumper trim. damnit.

On the plus side, I took the opportunity to replace the taillights, and decided to go with all-red tails. Pictures forthcoming, but it looks good - used the Testor's Candy apple red + clearcoat method - not bad for DIY. Let's hope they hold up to the sun...
