A clay bar is not a polish, it is intended to take the dirt and shit out of paint.
You should clay bar, rubbing compound, and wax at a minimum. It WILL shine after this.

I have been witness to this process, it works great specially on red cars. Give it a try, you'll be amazed at what $30.00 worth of detailing products and a lot of elbow grease can do.

Yes, I've looked into the aprons but I really like the stock valance look. I'm going to take one from a late model and fabricate it to fit mine. I've already researched it and have all the right tools. I'm just waiting to find a good valance at a yard so I can chop it off.@IRON-E30 aka Edwin:DComment
