it's clean... but it's still just an E30 (one of my fav cars of all times btw)... and therefore it could really use some sporty suspension and better wheels

Ok guys... You can stop worrying...:D
I took the car to a classic car show recently and had the alpina wheels with me to put em on for the first time at the show... I had three people come up to me asking me wtf I was doing changing the wheels... Lol
One guy had an early model 325 and we talked for a while... He told me straight up that he was more than envious of the car because he thought he had one of the best early models in existence... Turns out his car wasn't even close to being in the same condition, especially not since mine is one of the very first e30's. He wasn't interested in buying the car, but he kept telling me how a car like mine is literally impossible to find on this planet. Not because I did a bunch of stuff to it, but because it's one of the very few cars that literally need nothing done to it. He told me that some e30 enthusiasts would even pay big money for the stickers in the engine bay that still look like new on mine and aren't even available from BMW anymore... Same goes for the original battery, the spare with the 1983 tire on it, the pristine owners manuals etc. The thing is, I don't even know what I got myself into with this car... It prob belongs in a museum much rather than me owning it as a fun car. Oh well.
But there's good news as well... I ended up selling the alpina wheels for a huge profit at the same show... Which means that all modding plans for it have been put to rest... The car will stay with me until I pass it on to my future children, and I will spare no expense in keeping it in it's current condition.
As you can tell by the pic of my 1 series, I'm pretty big into photography as a hobby, so stay tuned for a more detailed photoshoot...

Looking forward to it.
There are some truly hot e30's out there with m50 turbos or with m20 with itb's and BBS RS wheels sitting flush inside the guards. These can be done relatively easy as long as you can pay the cash. But having a car like yours is priceless and can't be done to any e30 it could come close of were to do thorough restoring, but it won't be the same. And that's why we all admire your car and it would break all our hearts if you were to for example rip out the head unit and put in the latest Alpine unit with Bluetooth etc.
I'm glad you have taken on the thought to keep it as is for your kids to admire when they grow up. And who knows it may be worth something when you feel there is no room in the garage for an early 80's model BMW and feel the need to sell.
Then you can give me a call and I'll fly over all the way from Australia to take it off your hands :D
