      No!! I did this same process to my door panels last year and was so impressed that I moved on to my seats. Made them rock hard and after a few months they started cracking. You'd be better off paying bavauto for some of their stylish seat covers. Saw a set in person this weekend and I'm sold.

      Edit.... Duh, you meant how the panels would look with black seats. Ignore above :)

        Did you use anything special for masking? I have always wanted to do this, but was afraid of the dye bleeding through and looking like crap.

                i did this to a pair of tan leather seats for a buddy... i just linked him here so maybe he will do the cards like that too! used proper leather dye...

                    Sheesh. I should start painting up my interior. Problem is, my interior only consists of cloth Recaro buckets and two door cards, and they are already all black.

                      I too am digging this, and will also probably be stealing your idea. I already have a bit of a black and tan thing going and shitty panels, I think it would come together nicely. Nice work.

                                It looks and feels like OEM. There's a few places that could have used another coat or that could have been masked off better though.
