Purchased 18.8.2011. Barely ran. Rough. Shot drive-line. Cut springs and stock, shot shocks. Bad camber. Horrible paint. Falling apart. 50% complete interior. When I cracked the oil drain plug to change the oil, as the first thing I do on any new acquisition, nothing came out. Nada-- not even a drop. Let that be a sign of how this was kept.
Here's what it looked like when I picked it up:
came with a bajillion stickers. even had a wiper removed to add more (quality) stickers.
The guy I got it from has it on stock shocks/cut springs. AND JUST LOOK AT THIS INTERIOR! >:(
Currently:
(as you can see below, I am no photographer-- sorry about the photo quality!)
2.7i >:}
I tore the engine down, cleaned it a bit, did the conversion with an extra set of hands (that tube! you know the one!), replaced vital parts (timing belt, water pump, etc) and now it runs beautifully. Sounds great, feels great, and gets great MPG (25-28 unless I'm feeling a bit zealous).
